Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior attorneys on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. This position is designed to start from the ground up. - Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
- Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff
- Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
- Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
- In general, you will learn about personal injury from the ground up.
- We will start you off by assisting our intake department, helping to get new clients signed up, and establishing new files.
- After that, you will learn about early case management, investigations, and the claims process.
- From there you will learn about pre-litigation claims, demand writing, claims negotiations, and client communication.
- Once you have mastered pre-litigation we will teach you our litigation process.
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
- Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
