The Assistant Manager will work with the GM to oversee day-to-day studio operations and performance from sales to staff with part of the role focused on marketing, community engagement, and events. This role is a hybrid position, requiring remote work as well as in-studio and on-event-site hours.

Responsibilities

Operations and Sales 

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of both Washington, DC locations
  • Assist in managing client inquiries, issues, and concerns in a very timely manner with the highest level of customer service
  • Drive membership sales through business development efforts
  • Work closely with the GM to coordinate marketing and community events
  • Develop and drive strategy for local influencers, ambassadors, and community relationships
  • Attend and participate in all required training, relevant workshops, and marketing/outreach events
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness, ensuring the gyms and equipment are kept in pristine condition daily

Marketing Support and Management

  • Community Engagement: Partnerships and Events 
  • Work to expand B2B partnerships
  • Manage current partnerships
  • Plan and execute events (workout pop-ups, happy hours, fight night watch events, etc.) 
  • Ambassador & Influencer Programming
  • Set up contract agreements and monitor their performance 
  • Coordinate the ambassador team for photo and video shoots 
  • Advertise and recruit additional ambassadors monthly  
  • Creative Support & Production Management 
  • Schedule and coordinate 2x monthly photo shoots/video shoots  
  • Manage shot lists and work closely with models and photographers to capture specific content 
  • Manage greater marketing strategy and content 
  • Assist in managing the planning of 90 Day Training Camp ( Our annual New Year's Membership Challenge) 
  • Oversee content calendar
  • Assist with content creation (social media posts, graphics, flyers, email marketing)
  • Oversee digital marketing agency in developing weekly email marketing campaigns, including reviewing copy, scheduling, testing, and database management
  • Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of fitness sales experience and customer service required. 
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing and/or social media management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage client and staff concerns with an approachable, professional disposition and energy.
  • Self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-changing, diverse environment.
  • Passion for fitness.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS office programs, Gmail, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with studio management software preferred.
  • Boxing experience or familiarity is a plus!
  • Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Experience with MailChimp or other email marketing suites. 
  • Boxing experience or familiarity.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.

Compensation
$41,000 - $45,000 yearly
