We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (IT) to join our ANGARAI team in Washington D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple IT projects and monitoring their progress and outcomes. Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Owner in defining the goals and outcomes of the project. This includes understanding the purpose of the software, the intended audience, and the features and functionality that are required.
- Identify project requirements, including documenting the technical requirements, the budget, and the timeline for completion.
- Establish and maintain the project plan and schedule based on the defined scope and resources, including timeline, milestones, and specific tasks that need to be completed.
- Facilitate the effective flow of the Scrum development process.
- Monitor the progress of the team, identify potential problems, and make adjustments to the plan as needed.
- Identify, document, and coordinate the development schedule for the internal and external dependencies.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and assist the Project Owner in generating status updates for upper management, to keep them informed of progress, changes to the project plan, and any potential issues.
- System Administration and Management Support for Biomedical and Bibliographic Information Resources.
- Identify both internal and external user categories, define user needs, and make product and feature proposals.
- Conduct research activities using modern methodologies, including user surveys,stakeholder interviews, and usability tests.
- Create and manage action plans for product development and marketing.
- Prepare materials to publicize product features to the user community and solicit and analyze feedback.
- Translate user feedback into business requirements and development plans.
- Facilitate software analysis, design, estimation, development, testing and maintenance.
- Work with organisation to ensure that the system is compliant with security policies.
- Ensure that the architecture is extensible to allow for further development, including integration with compatible internal or external systems.
- Design and implement application using high availability and fault tolerance principles.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a project manager in the IT industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experienced in project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Trello, Monday, etc.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- US work authorization and valid driver’s license.
