The Administrative Assistant will need to be someone who genuinely cares about people and seeks to serve the community. The Administrative Assistant will do this by being the first face (and voice) that people hear when they reach out for help and therefore, will need exceptional people and communication skills. The daily duties include answering phones, responding to emails, greeting patients, using the Electronic Health Records system to set up appointments, verifying insurance and collecting patient payments, just to name a few. You will get to watch people coming in hurting and leave healed. It truly is an inspiring and meaningful way to make a difference.


  • Greet Patients when they first come into the office
  • Check in with patients
  • Retrieve answering machine messages
  • Return calls promptly and courteously
  • Make, cancel, and re-schedule appointments for new clients
  • Obtain co-payments and all payments from clients (e.g. performs cashiering duties, print out receipts, etc.)
  • Send fax documents as requested and appropriate
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, mailing, and filing
  • Scheduling referrals
  • Collect and review all initial paperwork
  • Verify insurances 


  • High School diploma, Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years Administrative/Clerical experience preferred
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements

  • The physical requirements of the position include but are not limited to, standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time, use of hands to finger, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, and squat
  • Use of computer, keyboard, and monitor is necessary
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
  • Must be able to speak English and listen, hearing sounds and words
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

$12 - $14 hourly
