Position Description:
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager is responsible for performing basic accounting functions, managing the accounting staff, reconciling various balance sheet accounts, assisting in the month-end close process, and other related duties for multiple entities. Duties are to be completed in a timely manner.

• Manage and train the accounting staff
• Understand and amend as necessary the accounting staff’s job descriptions
• Perform quarterly evaluations of the accounting staff
• Reconcile all bank accounts
• Reconcile the construction loan accounts
• Reconcile various other balance sheet accounts, intercompany accounts, and the cost of goods sold accounts
• Maintain company management reports
• Other duties as needed by Controller or Executive Team.

• Strong integrity
• College degree in accounting
• Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to accurately process and record a large volume of numerical data
• Experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Ability to collaborate with management and interact with customers and lenders
• Team player with a great attitude, emotional intelligence, and drive to results
• Strong financial analysis abilities and excellent problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA in accounting or related field
• Some overall residential construction knowledge
• Banking Background Helpful
