Accountant/Bookkeeper local to Florida

As a professional Accountant/Bookkeeper you will work as part of a team that handles the financial management of small business accounts. You will perform general bookkeeping and accounting as well as administrative functions on the behalf of clients. You will be responsible for delivering quality work, in a timely manner, with a positive and professional attitude.

Clients are local business owners whose needs are demanding. You must be a quick learner, highly organized professional who is able to multi-task and pay close attention to details. We expect you to work efficiently and provide excellent customer support. This remote position requires a high level of professionalism and discipline... you must be a self-starter and be passionate about owning your work product and service delivery.

  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements
  • Verify accuracy within day books and all ledgers
  • Complete bookkeeping duties: Data entry and record maintenance
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
  • Make sure accounts receivable/payable are complete
  • Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • You are systematic when it comes to established protocols and standards
  • You engage the environment consistently
  • You interact with people and share opinions in a poised manner
  • You are very responsible in the way problems are approached and decisions are made
  • Bachelor of Accounting degree
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proper use of English, written and oral
  • Good record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaborate with team
  • Possess strong initiative
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and QuickBooks (desktop and online)
  • Must have access to a secure, dedicated work environment (Home Office) with a high-speed internet connection
  • Must be Bilingual Spanish speaking
