Our new Real Estate Accountant is a leader who will handle all financial functions of our offices. The accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivables, monthly reconciliations of both client and company accounts, and communicating financials to the principal broker, office staff, and brokerage clients. The ideal candidate is fascinated by the story that financials tell about people, businesses, and their values; is excited to use their financial knowledge to help people reach their full potential; and receives intrinsic rewards from investing in others.

In this key role, you will begin by working closely with the principal broker in organizing and running the real estate brokerage, then taper to working more independently. Important functions include developing and implementing process improvements to reduce operational costs and improve efficiencies as well as providing leadership, guidance and support for the staff. Our new Real Estate Accountant will be a strong leader who is trustworthy, detail oriented, and communicates effectively.

As the brokerage’s accountant you will run the day-to-day financial operations of the firm, using various industry-specific software. If you are detail oriented, skilled at implementing systems and enhancing the financial infrastructure of an organization we want to hear from you. We are looking for leaders who are prepared to invest their time and talent in building and growing with a high-performance team.


  • Coordinate and lead administrative and transaction management; create processes to ensure efficiency
  • Enter and update accounts payable and accounts receivable, initiate ACH transfers
  • Produce financial reports using industry-specific software, ensuring accuracy; reconcile company and client accounts regularly
  • Communicate regularly with the broker/owner
  • Review and implement financial policies and procedures


  • Experience in accounting (CPA preferred, but not required)
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and work in an environment where frequent interruptions may occur
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly personality, able to work with broker associates, clients, and our staff
  • Computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail, and several accounting software products
  • Some flexibility to work schedule, but must be able to work a full-time schedule, especially the first two weeks and last week of each month

$36,000 + annual bonus
