How (Not!) To Dress For An Interview

Hiring Horror Stories are scary but true tales sent to us from the interview trail.

The Flaker

An applicant showed up for a job interview wearing a noticeably greasy, see-through white dress shirt and bottle-lens eyeglasses being held together by tape. He also sported a comb-over covering only the front half of his head. The icing on the cake? Severe dandruff. During the interview, the candidate repeatedly scratched his head, causing large flakes of skin to fall onto the table and onto his clothing. By the end of the interview, the table was covered with a thin layer of skin flakes. The manager did not know what to think.

And we know we just got done saying Helicopter mom’s were a bad thing for interviews, but in this case, mom might know best.
